Ajit Sacheendran Moorkoth

Chief Consultant Rehabilitation Practitioner, Professional Special Educator, Psychologist and Early Interventionist

 

Ajit Sacheendran Moorkoth is a Professional Rehabilitation Practitioner, Special Educator, Educational Diagnostician, and Psychologist, with training from India and Australia. He has twenty eight years of professional experience with interests in psychoeducational diagnostics. Ajit has a bachelor’s degree from NIMH, Secunderabad where he specialized in intellectual disability and interned in early intervention for high and at – risk newborns and toddlers. With an Australian Governments full scholarship, he completed his M.Ed. in Special Education degree from the University of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia, specializing in learning disabilities, behaviour disorders, and gifted and talented children. Subsequently, he joined for an M.Phil. Degree in Education with thesis work on Dual Sensory Impairments / Deafblindness. In 2013, Ajit received the Shreshtacharya Award in recognition of his meritorious services of 23 years. He is also the recipient of NIMH Fellowship (2002), ORAS Award (2000) from Sheffield University in UK, Merit Award (2000) from Hull University in UK, and the AIDAB/ADCOS Award (1994) from the Government of Australia.      

 

Geetha Gopi

Senior Consultant Rehabilitation Practitioner, Psychologist & Special Educator (LD)

Started career working in various capacities catering to children having intellectual disabilities and associated conditions for 5 years in India in different work settings including research, clinical and school settings. Worked in Kuwait in international schools for 15 years following an American curriculum primarily in inclusive settings.  Job experience includes working with mixed ability classes (inclusive of children with learning issues) and curriculum delivery contingent upon diverse, continuous and cumulative assessments.  Intensive work in curriculum development and adaptations, behavior management, coordinating and promoting best educational practices among staff and parent counselling have been important aspects of work experience. Created Eas4y (Early Academic Series for You) for Inclusion Central– a Teacher’s Kit for teaching early language skills and basic maths. Based on UDL, the kit is a one-stop handy tool for children in regular schools as also those with special needs.
